Great place for dim sum and way closer than Chinatown. The dishes are very fresh and the food tastes delicious, make sure to arrive early in the morning as it might get crowded. This is our go to place for dim sum, I highly recommend it.

Like your in boston. The cart people need a retrain however. They tend to stick to one side and not share the noms

Went here today for the first time with several friends and had a great experience. The servers were attentive, glasses of water were always refilled without asking, and the food tasted very yummy. I'm no stranger to dim sum, and I must say that it was worth the 45-60 minute drive to get there. Your usual favorites are present, plus a full menu, plus a full bar. They have a large parking lot, which is definitely a plus, and is very easy on/off 495. Cash and credit card were accepted. Oh, and I almost forgot. You can place take out dim sum orders! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again in the near future.

Exceptional boneless spare ribs. Rib fans: They have just the right kind of char. You know you want it. Portions were incredible and so well priced.

Their foods are amazing. We usually go to Boston Chinatown to get real authentic Chinese dishes, but now we go to China Star Dim Sum for Sunday Dim Sum, or late night dinner or for special event such as mother's day. We love sea food, so our favorites are, steamed oysters with black bean, clam on black bean sauce with pea pod stems ( some called it Snow Pea Leaves) with garlic sauce, steamed fish with ginger and scallion, lobster with ginger and scallions to go with either white rice or sometime house special fried rice or this salted fish fried rice (if you are real adventurous). We sometime order mixed sea food on bird nest and other typical either chicken, duck or bee. My favorite drink there is Mai Tai or Tsing Tao beer for a hot day. They do have a wide selection of mixed drinks, wines and beers. Highly recommend for a night out or a group celebration.

Great dim sum but service was a little slow for the Chinese holiday. We had great fun and had a good conversation with the employees. Nice people and great food.

The food was great, and it was so fun on Chinese New Year.

Food was great, but the service was not. The tip we left was due to terrible service. The servers make you change your tip amount to reach 15% of the total bill even if their service was terrible.

Very good Asian restaurant offering excellent selection, superb food, & good service; only drawback was server's English was poor & bartender didn't know what bourbon was. I would definitely come back here though.

This place is great for family gatherings! I’ve been coming here for a while now and the staff is nice but some of my food arrived cold. I’ll defiantly come back! I totally recommend their deserts!

Food comes quickly for Dim Sum, they will try to give you everything, but everything is good. Very fairly priced.

We love DIM SUM having been introduced to it in Hong Kong and many times in San Francisco - my home town. This is as good a Dim Sum restaurant as you'll find outside of Hong Kong - better than what I've found in Boston - and I've tried many a place there. The place is "jammed" with members of the Lowell Chinese Community who frequent the place just about every lunch time for the "goodies".

OMG - this place is so great! We eat Dim Sum all over the country and this place rates up there! And dont forget the Chow Foon (Fun) ...so good. Cant wait to go back!

Come here often for family brunch and dinner. Lunchtime is great because they come around with the carts of warm fresh dumplings, buns, etc. They have great soup and I often purchase soup here for myself and family when sick. Egg drop soup and dumpling soup is great. Lots of variety and makes me hungry thinking about it!

Slightly expensive but very good on portion size. Plates tasted good. Vegetable soup was just broth with a couple pieces of lettuce?

Fast service, great food & drinks. Best Chinese food in Lowell!

Authentic Cantonese dim sum. The place feels a bit cold in winter. Hope they turn up the heat a little bit.

Great dim sum dishes... Great family atmosphere for Sunday get together event..
Linda Harvey
The food was very good and so was the atmosphere. It gets very busy starting around 11:30 so I suggest going earlier. You can pick directly off the carts or, if there's something you want that isn't on the carts, you can also order off the menu.

Delicious! Sticky rice, oysters, calamari, shumai, shrimp & pea dumpling, ground shrimp rolls with celery, BBQ ribs. And then ended it with sesame & red bean paste balls for dessert to go. pic not shown.

Best authentic Hong Kong-style food in Greater Boston. Save yourself the time and hassle of Chinatown... this beats them all!
melissa normandin
Great service but some of the food was cold. When notified they were quick to fix.

I loved that I didn't have to go all the way to Chinatown to get good Dim Sim on a Sunday morning.

The food is exceptional but you need a cleaner environment for your fish.

Really good dimsum and cheap prices
Jason Hou
The dim sum here is quite authentic. The cow intestines and chicken sticky rice is really good. But the shrimp dumplings’ skin is too thick, as is the sesame ball. Definitely the best dim sum in the northern suburbs.

Great place for dim sum in Lowell!

Not as great as some of the restaurants in Boston, but without having to drive into Boston, the dim sum is as good as you can get!For those without understanding of Chinese our dim sum, ask for the dim sum menu so you can point to the picture of what you want and so you know what you are getting. They also have regular lunch and dinner menus. Note that they do not server dim sum all day.

Really tasty food. You won't be disappointed. Tea is like you'd expect with bits of leaf. Curry chicken is as you'd expect, slightly spicy, very flavorful. General Gau chicken, delicious. Egg rolls nice and crispy. Nice big bar with tasty drink specials. Atmosphere is kinda kitschy, like an 80s porn palace. The old adage of knowing how good a cultural restaurant is, is if people from that culture actually eat there. So, with that said, there's a good mix of Asian customers and everyone else. So, you know it's good stuff! There's a stage as well, but have never been there to see if they have live entertainment.

So great! Fabulous food, great service-we will be back!

Very hard to order unless you know what your doing but once you get the food its amazing

Always great food. We have been going here for years. Late night, evening, doesn't matter. The food is of the same great quality any time of day. Jennifer at the desk is amazing. Very kind and social. Large menu that very authentic. You can't go wrong here.
Dan O'Brien
It's your standard Chinese dim sum place. It has a decent selection from the carts but not the variety that you would see in Boston.
Masa Kol
Great place to eat late. Food comes out fast.
Anirak Zueg
I have gone here before since I am from around and am amazed how good they are again. I came here couple days back in the evening for work pick up order and can say the lady doing phone orders is so nice and patient over the phone and in person when I had a problem with my work card payment despite the busyness on these pandemic days. I am giving 4 star because I wish their General Tso's can be more spicy but food is great and affordable! :D
robert selfridge
Service was terrible, got a drink before food, food came and never saw waitress again. Water was refilled but never was asked if we needed anything else. Food was good but I will not be returning do to the terrible service.
Vanessa Harwell
I love dim sim. Easier driving here then Boston on sundays. Great food an service!
Drab Flab
Great dimsum with excellent taro. If you're looking for something exotic you should definitely try the tripe. The thing is when you go order everything you want when a cart comes by because they will not come back to your table.
Josh Brand
Nice clean place to relax and eat. I enjoyed trying dim sum. It was nice to have drinks with people and have fun. The staff are really nice and the food was great!
Patricia Tortorella
Always fresh and delicious as is all their other food Service is a little different so you need patience

One of my favorites in Lowell for takeout!! We had the food delivered & the food is great 🙂 I would definitely recommend.
